Aerotek Material Handler in CARLSBAD, California

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. Your responsibilities will include generating and providing documentation such as bills of lading for domestic customer freight orders, and handling international shipping documents like commercial invoices and customs declarations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers regarding purchase order shipping status, coordinate shipping, and resolve any carrier issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for the receipt, inspection, counting, and stocking of incoming shipments, executing inventory cycle counts, and performing daily safety checks on forklifts. High volume data entry tasks, such as creating, entering, and receiving purchase orders in the EPO system with high accuracy, will also be part of your role. You will review orders prior to placement and ensure any issues are communicated to the responsible party for correction.

Hard Skills

  • Experience in generating and handling shipping documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Excel

  • Ability to perform high volume data entry with high accuracy

  • Experience with inventory management and cycle counts

  • Skilled in operating and performing safety checks on forklifts

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in CARLSBAD, California.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with very little overtime.
