How will you make an impact?
The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler II is responsible for managing Make to Stock and Make to Order consumable life sciences products. Their goal is to achieve high levels of order fulfillment and optimize inventory.
What will you do?
Achieve and maintain specified Inventory Optimization plans, driving efficient inventory levels and minimizing Excess & Obsolete inventory risk.
Work closely with procurement partners and suppliers to manage delivery dates and raw material availability.
Avoid back-order positions in all relevant categories and promptly resolve any that occur. Identify root causes and take responsibility for implementing corrective measures.
Responsible for achieving and maintaining specified MTS/MTO Back Order objectives, driving efficient order fulfillment levels.
Actively maintain adequate safety stocks to ensure Back Order goals are met through judicious use of inventory.
Advance and resolve issues where there is reason to believe that outstanding risk, duration, or magnitude of back-order position exists.
Maintain valid Capacity plans for each category to identify and communicate key variances to partners for course correction.
Apply relevant tools and take ownership for identifying and resolving data quality issues that may impact duties within the category and across sites.
Participate in continuous training and education to ensure skills grow.
How will you get there?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain or materials management.
APICS or other relevant supply chain certifications highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years previous MRP planning experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including a full understanding of all relevant planning parameters.
In-depth knowledge of planning software (MRP), preferably Oracle E1, SAP or similar.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of planning, purchasing, and shop floor systems.
Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain.
Strong understanding of concepts of inventory management and distribution planning.
Customer service focus.
Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquiries on inventory, capacity, and product availability.
Proficient writing skills to develop routine reports and correspondences that are clear and concise.
Strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate critical information.
Good problem-solving skills to successfully resolve problems varying in complexity relative to the job level.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $66,000.00 - $99,000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
