The Director, Billing Revenue Cycle Management is a strategic and hands-on operational leader who is responsible for Breg’s Medicare and third party billing revenue cycle management including collections performance and vendor engagements. S/he is responsible for planning, developing, and establishing the goals, objectives, strategies and tactics to drive continuous improvement throughout the revenue cycle. S/he will also provide the leadership necessary to successfully execute all billing and revenue cycle management initiatives including but not limited to: claim quality, billing collections, management of external offshore vendors, and partnering with other departments to drive Breg’s overall billing performance.
Your day will be very busy… you will:
Directs and oversees Breg’s outsourced, including offshore billing vendors with responsibility over order entry, authorizations, and collection performance.
Directs and oversees Breg’s onshore collections activity.
Partners with Breg’s Patient Service Center, payor contracts, quality, and other leaders to develop strategies to improve collection and denial performance.
Responsible for the analysis to identify denial trends that impact collections performance and implement action plans to drive corrective action.
Consistently communicates (orally and in written form) the strategies, plans, performance outcomes and business conditions to ensure clarity among the team and a strong understanding of opportunities for the future to recalibrate as necessary.
Partners with the Breg compliance functions to create policies to ensure that management and employees comply with the billing and reimbursement rules and regulations of regulatory agencies and procedures are being followed and employee behavior meets the Company Code of Conduct.
Performs duties in compliance with applicable FDA, CMS, ACHC, and other appropriate state and federal regulations.
Partners with field sales and service organization to find solutions to maximizing claim quality and ultimately billing collections rates.
Responsible for the development and achievement of monthly collections targets across the revenue cycle including partnering with accounting and finance to align on cash collections forecasts.
Leadership responsibilities include the selection, development, performance management and continuous recalibration of staff; ensures appropriate staffing levels and resource allocation; performs administrative tasks associated with timekeeping, pay, performance, policy administration and other matters related to employment.
What your background will be:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in insurance billing activities with a medical device or other company that performs Medicare Part B and other health insurance reimbursement functions.
Significant experience in establishing coverage policies with both local Medicare carriers and large and small commercial payers.
Experience with hiring, managing, and developing a billing team.
Must have a strong understanding of medical device billing, coding, coverage, and payment processes and practices is critical.
In-depth knowledge of the role of Accounts Receivable within a billing environment is also required.
Experience with Durable Medical Equipment billing is a significant plus.

Salary/Pay Range: $121,200-$160,800 annually, plus bonus eligibility
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary/pay across all US locations. Actual pay is based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographical location, work experience, skill set, relevant trainings and certifications, and business needs. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
