How Y ou Will Make an Impact?

The Commercial Finance Senior Manager position works closely with the Biosciences (BID) Commercial Leadership Team and Senior Director of Commercial Finance to deliver actionable analytics and insights across the business. The scope of the role spans reporting, forecasting, and analytics across a variety of Commercial metrics and KPIs. In addition, the role supports the development of commercial strategies across regions and functions. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, analytical, and data-focused technical skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate complex to drive actionable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead key Commercial operating mechanisms, including revenue and bookings reporting and forecasting and annual operating plans

  • Lead the Commercial Finance Analytics team, which includes developing predictive analytics that lead to actionable insights for the global commercial teams

  • Collaborate across Corporate, Group, and Division Finance teams to share best practices and elevate adoption of analytical tools

  • Play key roles in supporting our global commercial teams on growth initiative projects and strategies

  • Ad-hoc financial analysis, analytical modeling, and reporting across multiple financial systems

  • Support monthly and quarterly business review presentations and close activities; provide insight and support to the business units

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Comfortable with presenting, influencing, and aligning on complex topics with executives and the broader organization through effective storytelling and cross-functional collaboration

  • Excellent analytical capabilities includingFinancial analysis using advanced Excel, developing Time series forecasting modelingand buildingdata visualization on PowerBI

  • Ability to coach and develop Analysts, manage a high performing team

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and diverse tasks and projects

  • Ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • SQL coding, DAX/Power Query (M), Python programming experience helpful

  • Proficient use of MS Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Education/ Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressive analytical experience with a focus on analyzing and interpreting data to evaluate business performance and support effective business decision making

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$175,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
