Robert Half Collections Specialist in Carlsbad, California

Description We are offering a dynamic opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Carlsbad, California. The primary role will be to ensure the smooth functioning of the credit and collections operations in our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be the main point of contact for handling customer service issues, managing high-volume calls, and dealing with paperwork. This role involves a significant amount of customer interaction and requires you to be calm, patient, and efficient in addressing customer concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume incoming calls and address customer service issues promptly.

• Prepare and maintain files for the collectors, ensuring all necessary documents are properly filed and accessible.

• Process payments through various platforms such as credit card systems, ACH, and checks.

• Assist in achieving the monthly collection goals by providing support with internal calls.

• Handle paperwork flow related to financial audits and ensure all documents are submitted on time.

• Act as the main point of contact to alleviate other collectors and manage customer inquiries.

• Utilize various software tools including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for managing and tracking collections.

• Communicate effectively with customers, maintaining a relaxed and patient demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other MS products.

• Experience in Collection Processes and working as a Collector.

• Strong Credit management skills.

• Exceptional Customer Service abilities. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Collection Processes is required

• Prior experience as a Collector is a must

• Understanding of Credit processes and terms

• Excellent Customer Service skills are essential

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling accounts and documents

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

• High level of integrity and confidentiality

• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations related to collections

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to handle difficult or sensitive situations with professionalism and tact.
