Description

As an accounting clerk, you will find yourself at the heart of our financial operations, navigating the intricate pathways of accounts and transactions with precision and diligence. Your role will encompass a diverse array of responsibilities, each contributing to the seamless functioning of our accounting department and the broader success of our organization. In your capacity as an accounting clerk, you will be entrusted with the crucial task of maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, meticulously recording each transaction with an unwavering commitment to detail. From processing invoices and expense reports to reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial data.

Requirements:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify discrepancies, and prepare payments. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized and up-to-date records. Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.

  • Expense Management: Review and reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets. Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed.

  • Communication: Correspond with vendors, clients, and internal departments to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure timely payment and collection of invoices.

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department, such as filing documents, organizing records, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

  • Compliance: Assist with audits and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or certification in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field preferred. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software and systems.

  • Integrity: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
