Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment within the plant. The role involves a significant amount of greasing and performing preventive maintenance on bearings, conveyors, and rollers. You will also be responsible for electrical troubleshooting and repair when applicable. This position includes an 8,000-hour company-funded Department of Labor Maintenance Mechanic apprenticeship program. The work environment is hot, loud, dirty, and dusty, similar to a foundry. The plant is currently undergoing significant upgrades, including the addition of a large new glass line.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Conduct reactive maintenance as needed.
Grease bearings, conveyors, and rollers.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair if applicable.
Participate in the breakdown and teardown of lines during the upgrade process.
Work in a hot, loud, dirty, and dusty environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in industrial maintenance preferred.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Willingness to learn and participate in the apprenticeship program.
Presentation and communication skills.
Courses or classes related to maintenance are beneficial.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $61256.00 - $72571.00
