Guardian Industries HR Coordinator / Plant Office Administrator in Carleton, Michigan

Guardian Glass has an immediate need for a HR Coordinator / Plant Office Administrator This position is located at our plant in Carleton, Michigan. The selected individual will create value by providing human resources and office administrative support to our Carleton facility. What You Will Do

Support the plant and organization by demonstrating self-motivation to embrace/define/drive continuous improvement. Possess excellent communication skills, initiative and personal accountability Challenge leaders, be confident and well-versed in moving the plant along with the company's vision Partner and engage at various levels of the organizations (i.e. operations, plant leadership team, and other capabilities to advance our culture Establish and maintain a positive work environment for all employees Successfully address employee relations matters throughout the facility Recruit, interview and select employees to fill both hourly and salary positions Plan and conduct new employee orientation with a focus of our Values Champion the employee experience including coaching, developing and communication Maintain Record Management Files/File Room Implement and monitor programs as directed by management, and see the programs through to completion Partake in various projects/initiatives that will benefit our internal and external customers long-term Provide general clerical/administrative support for leadership and various capabilities at the site Provide support scheduling and coordinating meetings, includes setting up logistics and lunch for employees, visitors, site events, etc. Interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organization Proactively coach and come along side Leaders to drive results through the disciplined application of our company culture, Principled Based Management. Relentlessly and constructively challenge situations and behaviors that are not consistent with our Values and, by extension, the Code of Conduct Use"forward thinking" skills to anticipate needs and issues before they arise Handle miscellaneous data requests: scanning and uploading various documents, procedures, and reports, etc.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Two (2) or more years Human Resources experience OR experience in a manufacturing supervision or leadership role

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Sociology, Psychology, or other related degrees PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
