Human Resources Manager

Caribou, ME FT/Days Permanent Opportunity

Job Description:

Immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager to work for a well-established business in Caribou. This opportunity offers an excellent daytime schedule with competitive pay and benefits. Great fit for an individual with strong leadership skills and formal human resources training. Full-Time/Days; 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday Friday; \$60-\$80K annual salary. PTO, retirement plan, health, vision, life, AFLAC insurance, and employee discounts available.

The Human Resources Specialist will perform a variety of administrative tasks and tend to the companys staffing and HR needs. Duties will include managing employee recruitment, conducting interviews and orientations, overseeing employee benefit programs and enrollment, coordinating staff training and company events, organizing HR strategies, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal hiring guidelines. Desired candidate will have a degree in HR management or a related field, five or more years of professional experience in an HR or management role, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives designed to support the companys overall business strategy.
  • Oversee and manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to management and staff.
  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, and other related plans.
  • Oversee employee training and development initiatives, supporting talent management and succession planning.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internship program across locations.
  • Develop, track, and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement, collaboration, and high performance.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources management, with a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and related software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred but not required.

Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday Friday.
