What You Can Expect

  • Oversee the RTR processes and activities, including (but not limited to) to ensure the integrity of the US GAAP numbers:

  • Month end closing (Journal approvals, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and reviews and approvals etc.)

  • Ensure all close activities are completed and signed off

  • Monthly review of both P&L and balance sheet

  • Ensure both the local and off-shore entity adhere to all applicable regulatory frameworks and internal controls as well as policies

  • Perform quarterly SOX control testing to validate adherence

  • Maintain the highest level of integrity of the Financial Statements in accordance with the local reporting framework (IFRS)

  • Manage the external and internal audit processes by partnering with both Internal audit team and PWC including audit preparation, financial statement filings

  • Oversee the direct and indirect tax return preparation for both entities including any consequential audits/tasks that may arise

  • Manage, coordinate and provide support to accounting operational functions in GBS (ITC, PTP) to optimize efficiency, process improvements and optimal support to the local entity

  • Support with any other Finance related ad-hoc requests and reports.

  • Computer skills including: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP Finance and Controlling modules, General Ledger, Hyperion, Blackline, database management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

What Makes You Stand Out

Your Background

  • At least BCom/BCompt accounting degree required and 5 years of post-articles experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting.

  • Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP and other regional and global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, IASB).

  • Professional accounting affiliation (SAICA, CIMA) advantageous

  • Experience within a matrixed environment.
