Urgent Care in the veterinary field is growing rapidly to meet the increasing demand for same-day or next-day non-emergent care that primary care veterinarians may not be able to provide. This role offers a more relaxed environment, providing you with the flexibility to balance work and life while offering convenience to our clients and top-notch care to their pets.

At VCA Chiquita , we offer urgent and emergent care walk-in services to our community of clients. We are seeking an experienced DVM who enjoys practicing urgent care and surgery without the overnight and on-call demands of an Emergency Specialty practice.

Schedule

  • Flexible full-time schedule available, ensuring work-life balance with no after-hours or on-call shifts required.

Hospital Hours

  • Monday : 8 AM–7 PM

  • Tuesday : 8 AM–6 PM

  • Wednesday : 8 AM–6 PM

  • Thursday : 8 AM–6 PM

  • Friday : 8 AM–7 PM

  • Saturday : 8 AM–4 PM

  • Sunday : Closed

Cases

  • Urgent care cases , walk-ins, and sick patients.

  • Small Animal (dog/cat).

  • Comprehensive medical, surgical, dental , and alternative care .

  • Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. The salary range listed is based on a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent

  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (state), or the ability to obtain

  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
