CANYON DEVELOPMENT DBA AMANBGIRI Line Cook (Temporary) in CANYON POINT, Utah

Back Server - Canyonland Development 1 LP dba Amangiri, Canyon Point, UT. Eight (8) Full-time temporary Line Cooks 04/01/2025 -- 11/30/2025. Duties: Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, sandwiches, breads, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants, cafes, and catering banquet locations. Perform proper food preparation, sanitation, storage, and services. Includes some outdoor cooking and grilling as well as buffet and banquet culinary services. Cook dishes according to hotel recipes and standards. Prepare special dietary meals or substitute items. Set-up and break down workstation. Maintain operations of assigned work station per day, or other items as assigned by Sous Chef. Must have 3 months experience as a Cook in a restaurant. Must speak, read, and write English language and communicate in a clear and congenial manner with our guests, employees and visitors. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and twist. Must be able to lift heavy loads up to 75lbs. Position will be working indoors and outdoors, in various climates including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Shifts vary and range from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, or 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM. 35 hours per week. Overtime may be available but is not guaranteed. Business is open 7 days per week. Workdays and shift times will vary. Shifts vary based on occupancy and scheduled events. Holiday and weekend shifts are required. Base hourly pay is $12.00 plus service gratuities, guaranteeing a minimum of $15.86 per hour. Gratuity is estimated at $12.96 per hour from an annual calculation. $22.54 per hour for OT when available. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Employer will conduct criminal background check prior to o?er of employment for those who have worked in the United States previously. Employer will use a single workweek to compute wage due. Employer uses a Sunday - Saturday workweek as the standard for computing wages due and are paid biweekly. Employer guarantees to o?er work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law. Employer will provide workers without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Workers have the option to live in employer provided housing. Employee only shared housing will be available with costs at $115.38 weekly. Housing costs will be payroll deducted if employee elects to make use of them. Housing deposit of $500 deducted bi-weekly, $100 per payroll. Employer will provide one meal per shift, uniform shirt, pants, and hat, and daily transportation to/from housing and work locations. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the ?rst workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Employer will provide subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging). If the workers require reimbursement for any transportation cost (including meals and lodging), the employer will reimburse workers in the ?rst week. Upon completion of the employment period or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
