Rate of Pay: $18.04 per hour

 

Scheduling Requirements:

Weekday evenings (5pm - 10:15pm) and weekends (all shifts)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

The Member Services Coordinator is responsible for serving as Manager on Duty as well as assisting with the coordination of Summit on the Park member retention and recognition initiatives, events, specialty group activities, and front-of-the-house operations.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed.)

  • Serves as Manager on Duty when directed.
  • Plans, coordinates and supervises membership appreciation events, programs, and specials.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, scheduling, and supervising part-time staff as directed.
  • Responsible for facilities and equipment appearance and cleanliness.
  • Responsible for responding to, communicating, and documenting emergency situations, including, but not limited to, First Aid, Severe Weather, and Missing Child events.
  • Promotes Leisure Services Core Values and provides excellent customer service, including, but not limited to, greeting and interacting with participants and families in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Greets and interacts with participants and families in a positive and friendly manner and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answers the telephone promptly and in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Maintains accurate program, activity and equipment records.
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates part-time employees.
  • Responsible for enforcement and compliance with safety program rules, policies, regulations, and procedures by public and employees.
  • Prepares and provides information and reports as requested.
  • Registers/Signs up guests for memberships, programs, classes and activities using the required software.
  • Stays abreast of all Canton Leisure Services communications, including, but not limited to, reviewing and responding to email on a daily basis.
  • Works with community organizations, groups, and individual citizens to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Attends and assists with staff meetings as required.
  • Ensures proper ADA accommodations are met in the facility.
  • Leads staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensures accurate money handling in accordance with Summit policies and reconciliation and recording of cash, credit card and check transactions daily.
  • Maintains accurate daily attendance reports, as well as accident/incident reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Minimum age of 18 years old.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Considerable knowledge of facility operations and Recreation programs preferred.

Previous experience in dealing with the public in a mature and responsible manner.
