Summit on the Park

Part-Time

Pay Rate: $15.91 per hour


REQUIRED SCHEDULE

Available shifts: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-9:30pm; Saturday-Sunday, morning, afternoon and evening shifts

Requires 2 shifts per week and every other weekend, Saturday or Sunday

JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This position is responsible for performing daily front desk duties while providing excellent customer service to guests and members at the Summit on the Park.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed.)

  • Responsible for facilities and equipment appearance and cleanliness.
  • Responsible for responding to, communicating, and documenting emergency situations, including, but not limited to, First Aid, Severe Weather, and Missing Child.
  • Greets and interacts with participants and families in a positive and friendly manner and provides excellent customer service.
  • Answers the telephone promptly and in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Ensures the front desk is organized and performs general cleaning duties.
  • Ensures safety rules, policies, regulations, and procedures are followed by the public and employees.
  • Responsible for enforcement and compliance with safety program rules and procedures.
  • Prepares and provides information and reports as requested.
  • Registers/Signs up guests for memberships, programs, classes, and activities using company software.
  • Works with community organizations, groups, and individual citizens to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Attends and assists with staff meetings as required.
  • Ensures accurate money handling in accordance with Summit policies.
  • Reconciles and records cash, credit card and check transactions daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Minimum age of 18 years old.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Previous experience in dealing with the public in a mature and responsible manner.

Previous experience in money handling preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Ability to work a wide variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.

Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems, and policies to fellow employees and the public in a tactful and courteous manner.

Previous community center or facility operation experience preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, checking in members and guests.

Basic computer skills required.
