Here is how the Production Engineering role will impact our business: The Production Engineer is responsible for providing technical support in order to achieve optimization of well performance, assurance of best-in-class economics for all proposed projects and a focus on zero incidents / zero emissions.
The Production Engineer's responsibilities include but are not limited to: "Owner" of Production Standards, Optimization Best Practices and Chemical Program Implementation. Providing technical expertise in all phases of well optimization. (TIL / Flat-Time Decline / Artificial Lift Design and Installation / Plugging) Complete daily reviews of well performance and developing plans of actions for wells / pads that are not meeting production and controllable downtime goals. Complete quarterly route reviews with operational team in order to identify production / economic leading and lagging indicators that can be used / adjusted to achieve team goals. Acting as the engineering interface with operational team (field and leadership) for assigned area of operations. Providing scopes of work and economic justification for all proposed maintenance capital projects. Completing economic and operational lookbacks for all completed maintenance capital projects. Developing operational guidelines and standard operating procedures for all applicable practices. Supporting operational leadership by providing training support for all field personnel. Optimizing the chemical program for assigned area of responsibility in order to provide flow assurance, freeze / hydrate prevention and asset integrity.
Required Experience and Skills: 2+ years of experience in engineering. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. (mechanical, chemical, petroleum engineering) Valid driver's license required. Ability to take ownership and lead projects as needed, and function as part of a team. Strong understanding of oil and gas production to include well optimization through the use of compression / gas lift / plunger lift. Strong understanding of process flow and equipment used for separation of fluids on common oil and gas production wells. Strong understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics. Strong communication and presentation skills. Extreme Ownership Mentality Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Ability to work flexible work hours inclusive of weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in oil and gas industry. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience to include Visio. Familiarization with: Smartsheet AutoCAD / Promax / Bluebeam SCADA familiarization (high level navigation) Whitson / Nodal Analysis Tools Ariel Performance Echometer Salesforce
