JOB DUTIES: Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient production for meat processing company. Specific duties include: (1) performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and component replacement on food process equipment and systems (including vacuum, pneumatics, and electrical and conveyance systems); (2) adjusting and repairing components according to manufacturer specifications and quality standards; (3) inspecting and testing equipment to verify proper operation and making adjustments as needed to ensure error-free operations; (4) documenting all parts used for preventative maintenance and repair to ensure proper inventory of parts are always available for operational readiness; (5) reading and interpreting equipment manuals, work orders, and any other applicable documentation to perform required maintenance and service; (6) recognizing abnormal operating equipment and using troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment issues; (7) identifying cost-effective solutions to decrease repeated equipment deficiency and performing root cause analysis; (8) monitoring work site to ensure that all work zones and equipment are in safe operation; and (9) complying with safety regulations, including GMPs, HACCP, and SQF.
