What You Will Do:

  • Under moderate supervision performs basic operation and minimal troubleshooting on packaging equipment to include un-caser, robotic de-palletizer, case packer, labeler, capsular and palletizer. Provide back up for Packaging Tech - 1 as needed.

  • Safely and efficiently operate all assigned pieces of equipment to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner.

  • Assist with change overs.

  • Maintains the mindset that there is always room for improvement, there is always a way to do it better.

  • Ability to keep work area clean, organized and Food Safety compliant. Responsible for general housekeeping duties and maintaining a sanitary work area.

  • Responsible for routine production reporting and quality checks.

  • Must be able to consistently perform all in-process and final production quality control and verification checks.

  • Responsible for compliance with E & J Gallo Winery sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.

  • Demonstrates situational awareness and a sense of urgency on the production floor.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

  • Communicates effectively with team members, leadership and other departments.

  • Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

  • Forklift certification and operation as needed.

    What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years’ experience in wine production or manufacturing.

  • Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar operations.

  • Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt.

  • Required to work any assigned shift (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.

  • Required to wear a respirator when necessary.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

    What Will Set You Apart:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years’ experience in wine production or manufacturing.

  • Experience showing versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

  • Experience operating a forklift.

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.

  • Experience in using a computer.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $19.95- $26.95/Hour

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
