Thompson Health Patient Transport Aide in Canandaigua, New York

Schedule: Days

What will you do?

  • Provides safe transportation for patients, specimens, and equipment and other related tasks assigned.

  • Coordinates these services within the Hospital to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers.

  • Actively support the mission, goals, and objectives of the Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifies all information needed to safely transport patient ·Explains transport procedure to the patient prior to moving ·Assures patient comfort during transport

  • Assures that patient privacy is respected at all times

  • Monitors patient’s condition during transport

  • Demonstrates ability to handle confidential information with discretion following system confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • C.N.A certification preferred.

  • Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire

  • One year of previous health care experience preferred

  • Demonstrates the CARES Values and Standards of Cooperation at all times.

  • Requires weekend & evening flexibility.

Pay Range: $17.25 - $20.00

Starting Pay: Based on Experience
