The Team and Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our team. This role is fully remote and open to any geographical area in Canada within commutable distance to our offices. The Business Development Associate is responsible for building strategic partnerships and relationships to drive new revenue opportunities. This role will be performed remotely through multiple avenues including virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails. The primary role is opportunity follow-up on internal campaigns, in-person events by our Insurance Services Strategic Accounts Team, and other platforms J.S. Held utilizes that are related to insurance services (LinkedIn, JD Supra, JSH website, etc.) to share thought leadership. Additionally, provide support on webinars, in-person events, and educational opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reports to Senior Strategic Accounts Associate.

  • Identify and investigate potential insurance clients that are not currently a part of ABM.

  • Partner with Strategic Marketing Partners on campaign results impacting the Insurance Division Strategic Account Team

  • Develop and maintain client relationships on agreed upon accounts.

  • Serves as an internal liaison to internal and external clients to ensure an unparalleled client experience.

  • Monitor assigned project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.

  • Gather information from insurance customers and competitor data.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective insurance clients and internal executives.

  • Completed business development tasks as assigned in Asana.

  • Track, identify and add qualified insurance prospects to sales pipeline.

  • Develop and manage strategic insurance partnerships to grow business.

    Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of full-time experience in Business Development or Strategic accounts

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and across business functions in a remote office setting.

  • Initiative to recognize opportunities and take action.

  • Ability to drive business in an inside sales structure.

  • Comfortable with video conferencing/calls/meetings and daily interaction (e.g., Microsoft Teams).

  • Integrity and strong character in all internal and external relationships.

  • Honesty and transparency in dealings with clients, team members, and prospects.

  • Diligence in meeting deadlines and completing tasks on time

  • Collaboration skills, working well with a team, and effective communication.

  • Agility to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.

    Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Travel locally and overnight, as needed

  • This role is fully remote and open to any geographical area in the US.
