FlexStaff Overnight (3-12hrs shifts) Detox Technician (Chemical Detox Rehab), Canaan, CT in Canaan, Connecticut

FlexStaff is seeking a Detox Technician to work for one of our external clients, an addiction treatment center, located in Canaan, CT.

This is a permanent, full-time job. Overnight 7pm-7am, 3-12hrs shifts weekly.

In this role you will be responsible for responsible for monitoring the well-being of all clients admitted to the detoxification program, the security of the facility and the cleanliness of the facility.

Education and Qualifications

Preferred - Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Medical Assistant and/or 2 years' experience related field.

Qualifications:

  • Detox Technician 1 - HS Diploma, salary $15-18/hr

  • Detox Technician 2 - Minimum 1-year experience if Certified, salary $17-21/hr

  • Senior Detox Technician - 3 + years (detox/behavioral specific), salary $19-24

Night differential salary plus $4/hr.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor and document vital signs, medical/psychological changes, and report to the nurse on duty.

  • Track client behavior and activities, reporting to the supervisor.

  • Assist with daily living tasks as needed.

  • Perform tests and EKGs when necessary.

  • Encourage client participation in activities and facilitate groups as required.

  • Keep the detox unit clean and orderly.

  • Conduct rounds to ensure client safety.

  • Ensure the security of clients and facility.

  • Maintain relationships with community agencies.

  • Uphold client confidentiality and protect medical records.

The salary range for this position is $15-$28/hour
