BATZLER TRUCKING INC CDL Dump Truck Driver in CAMPBELLSPORT, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Looking for Quad Axle Dump Truck driver with CDL to drive for an aggregate trucking company operating in SE Wisconsin. - Home nightly - Must have good driving record - Good working attitude - Drug testing required - Must maintain a Federal Medical Exam - Competitive starting pay with performance bonus review after 90 days. Paid Vacation, Holidays/Benefit Duties & responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Maintain and promote a strong safety for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Operate vehicle in compliance with company rules and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving. Drives truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, soil, concrete, crushed rock, etc. Utilize equipment properly to move forward and backward, tilt body, and dump contents. Interpret maps and/or GPS to determine proper vehicle route. Inspect vehicle and required parts/accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to operating. Verify load is within acceptable and legal limits. Complete cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles. Load and unload freight as required. Ensure proper securement. Maintain driver log as required by state and federal regulations. Maintain records of fuel purchases and mileage. Perform emergency roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs, fuses and tire chains. Other duties as assigned. Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations. Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other materials. Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. Install or remove special equipment, such as tire chains, grader blades, plow blades, or sanders. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs. Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or spark plugs. Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes. Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
