Oracle Account Software Engineer - Technology Solution Engineer Systems in CAMPANILLAS, Spain

Job Description

A Technology Solution Engineer within Oracle Systems provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying Oracle systems technology to the client’s business. As the systems expert you are responsible for formulating and leading presales technical and functional support activity to systems sales, prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Focussing on large or complex sales opportunities that require creative and complex solutions. Advising internal and external clients on overall architected solutions.

You will be a leading individual contributor and team member, providing support to sales teams with account planning, identifying potential customer requirements and progression through to opportunity creation via strong discovery techniques. Supporting sales with demonstrating to the customer how the technical solution option(s) will provide business value while achieving the customers goals and requirements. The ability to communicate functionality and lead discovery discussions with customers in technical roles is a key requirement for this position.

This role is to support the Benelux Region. Ability to travel as needed.

The candidate should have the ability to:

• Design IT on-premise solutions and drive IT transformation projects

• Engage with all levels of stakeholders within both Oracle and the customers organizations

• Drive data driven conversations

• Define and lead pre-sales initiatives in target accounts and territories

• Prepare configurations, define system architectures, and solution proposals of hardware infrastructure products and associated infrastructure software

• Understand the Enterprise IT market within the Benelux Region

• Speak English (fluent), Dutch and French

• Oracle Solution Engineers are excellent communicators, and are able to develop and articulate complex technological issues in a straightforward way to both decision makers and technical personnel alike. The perfect candidate must have drive, be proactive and is self-motivated.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate should:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in IT related fields

• Several years of experience in a technical field, preferably in a presales role

• Technical aptitude: Preferably have database, server and storage knowledge, as well as being able to discuss data management.

• Communication skills: able to develop and articulate complex technical issues in a straightforward way

• Drive: eager to be perceived as a technical expert.

• Endless curiosity and the will to understand concepts and motivations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.

• Strong creativity and ability to create new solutions for specific requirements.

• Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Have significant customer facing presentation and interaction experience in consulting and trusted advisor roles with C-level executives in relation to IT services articulating service and technology solutions in terms of business value and risk.

• Have knowledge of server and storage technologies market and products in general

• Be proficient in translating complex business requirements into workable technical solutions
