Candidates must possess a "can do" attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong team building skills.

Emphasis is placed on mentorship and connection to peers across all our business lines while you work alongside leading experts in the engineering industry. During your internship you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to our automation projects while continuing to learn and be mentored.Our projects include study, design, and construction phase services for a wide variety of applications including environmental facilities, industrial plants, power and energy, and life science. With the guidance of experienced automation and electrical engineers, you will assist with a variety of automation assignments, including: * Site surveys and field data collection * Automation design (control panel details and wiring schematics) * Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) * Loop Sheet drawings * Automation Architecture Design * Industrial communications and Cyber Security * PLC programming * HMI applications and development * Data center development and server configuration * Industrial fabrication of control systems in a UL certified factory * Factory control system testing * Client and project meeting participation At Gannett Fleming, you'll work on impactful projects and engage in meaningful professional development that will prepare you for a potential full-time position after graduation and a rewarding future. Education | Experience: Minimum Qualifications: Enrollment in an ABET-accredited Engineering program Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering An interest in learning more about careers in the Automation industry Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and eager to learn Strong verbal and oral communication skills Physically able to perform work in the field, if applicable (OSHA training a plus) Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in BIM, Civil 3D, or AutoCAD A focus or coursework related to automation and controls.
