Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 / hour + DOE

What you'll be doing as a Residential And Commercial Glazier:

  • Cut glass, mirrors, polycarbonate, and laminate in-shop per customer's orders. Measure and cut glass for patterns. Grind and polish glass, and finish edges when necessary.

  • Remove broken glass prior to installing replacement glass either in-shop or on jobsites.

  • Secure mirrors in position, using mastic cement, edge clips or moldings.

  • Cut, assemble, fit, and attach metal-framed glass enclosures for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights, solariums, and other structures.

  • Set glass doors into frames and bolt metal hinges, locks, handles and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls.

  • Commercial storefronts; including tear-out of old and installation of new per plans and specifications. Fabricate and install metal frameworks for glass installation, using aluminum or steel framing.

  • Load and arrange glass, mirrors, etc. using vacuum cups to lift glass when necessary.

  • Cut, fit, install, repair, and replace glass and glass substitutes, such as polycarbonate or laminate in boats or other products.

Job requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Construction and glass experience.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Effective critical thinker.

  • Must pass Background check including motor vehicle and national sex offender
