Job Description:

About the Role :

As a Plant Utilities Supervisor, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring the seamless operation of all plant utilities equipment including but not limited to the boiler systems, ammonia, and refrigeration units, and HVAC. This role will partner closely with plant leadership and is expected to be cross-functional to assist in areas throughout the facility. You will play a key role in managing daily logs, preventive maintenance tasks, and coordinating with the team to resolve any building and utilities issues. This role is vital to keeping our operations safe, efficient, and compliant. This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Technical Operations and will focus on the following:

  • The Maintenance, Repair, and Preventative Maintenance of Plant Utilities (steam, water, air, refrigeration, and drains/sewers).

  • Maintain the operation of this equipment by documenting/reviewing critical readings and test results to identify and correct potential issues that could create downtime.

  • Assisting other departments where needed as directed by management (Supervisors, and Dept. Managers)

  • Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Coordinator, Q.A. Department, and the Process Authority on any issues that relate to production or production-related issues (refrigeration temps, chilled/hot water, HVAC, Steam Pressures, training, project coordination, staff communications, and work distribution to other dept. members)

  • Review and approve all utilities personnel timecards

  • Assign work orders through SAP transactions

Important D etails: This is a full-time role on site in Cambridge, MD. Typical hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm, Candidates MUST be flexible to meet the needs of the business that runs 24/7.

About You :

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience of a minimum of 5 plus years working with Plant Utilities mentioned above.

  • Have good interpersonal and leadership skills to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Troubleshooting abilities on Equipment as associated with the Utilities chilled water systems, hot water system, steam, and ammonia refrigeration systems and the ability to manage a PSM programs

  • SAP experience a plus, among other systems including MS office products.
