Philips Senior R&D Project Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Your challenge

Responsible for End-to-End leading of a project to develop ultrasound transducers for a product, technology, system, and solution. From the initial start until the introduction in the Market, or internal delivery, by gaining agreements on and achieving project scope and objectives while balancing schedule, cost, quality, requirements and keeping abreast of developments in project management tools and processes as well as technical domain. Manages projects ensuring execution is in line with project guidelines and directives

You are responsible for

  • Project planning and execution from initial concept phase to release and post release follow-up.

  • Leadership of R&D teams responsible for the successful execution of projects.

  • Drive collaboration with Business Categories, Product Managers, Operations and Customer Support representatives, Quality and Regulatory team and Program Managers.

  • Able to manage projects that involve Hardware and Process development.

You are a part of

In this role you are responsible for the execution of multi-sites projects working with cross-functional program teams and aligning closely with business categories. Lead projects through the full life cycle from initial concepts to release and follow-up. Be the leader for R&D project teams demonstrating milestone achievements, adherence to business plans, schedules and costs and employ PDLM processes for all program elements. Scope includes regular/rigorous function by function reviews to assure synchronization, milestone achievements, adherence to business plans, schedules, and costs.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • 10+ years of professional experience which includes project / program management across multiple sites, and through the entire product lifecycle (Concept to Post-Release).

  • Proven ability to influence others, facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests.

  • Ability and willingness to work with teams located in different parts of the world and different time-zones.

  • Proven experience with Hardware

  • Bachelor’s degree / Masters degree (preferred) in engineering or equivalent

  • PMP Certification (preferred)

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
