INSTRUCTOR, 2.009: PRODUCT ENGINEERING PROCESSES, Mechanical Engineering (MechE) (multiple positions), to assume an integral role as part of the 2.009: Product Engineering Processes teaching teams. Responsibilities include mentoring students and working on course development and course materials preparation. 2.009: Product Engineering Processes (https://2009.mit.edu/information/course-description) is a rigorous capstone class for undergraduates in the Mechanical Engineering program at MIT. It brings together everything students have learned along the way to develop a market-ready product together with a team of classmates. This popular class gives students a taste of real-world product development.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; experience with the course 2.009; willingness to work long hours, challenge limits, and make suggestions or propose new ideas; knowledge of product development, graphic design, and prototyping techniques; experience working with students; experience with photography and videography; knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, SolidWorks, and Fusion 360; and familiarity with the use of digital tools such as vinyl cutters, laser cutters, and 3D printers.
