    Job Description

DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT II, OFFICE OF GIFT PLANNING (OGP), Vice President for Resource Development (VPR), works to support the OGP by evaluating proposals, managing schedules, making travel arrangements, and preparing all financial and expense reporting; manages databases, implements marketing initiatives, coordinates logistics for gift planning events, and communicates with donors; anticipates and initiates office procedures; and engages with a number of internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High School education or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in an administrative role; advanced scheduling and calendar management skills, and project management abilities; experience working with the processing of invoices and expense reports; demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and Zoom in a professional setting; ability to work independently and as a team member, multi-task, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines, without compromising quality, in a demanding, high-volume work environment; excellent customer service and meticulous attention to detail, resourcefulness, initiative, reliability, and flexibility; ability to effectively organize oneself and others; robust problem-solving, analytical, time management, and decision-making skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to grammar, spelling, accuracy, format, tone and proficient editing, and proofreading skills; ability to work under minimal supervision and be able to anticipate and act on the needs of supervisor(s) and those for whom this position provides administrative and/or project support; excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to promote and foster a highly professional and welcoming office environment for MIT’s many internal and external audiences; and exhibit tact and ability to handle confidential information.
