Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance related to equipment, including inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions. Machinery and components include 3-phase motors, gear boxes, motor control circuits, VFDs, sensors, switches, conveyors, and packaging equipment. Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance tasks such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or other tasks. Utilize prints, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs as necessary. Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic including control field devices, contactors, starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, photo eyes, VFDs, HMIs, interlock safety devices, and more. Review and complete work orders timely and ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on equipment.

  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.

  • Conduct routine preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.

  • Utilize prints, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs.

  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using various tools and instruments.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic and control field devices.

  • Complete work orders in a timely manner.

  • Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Experience with conveyor maintenance.

  • Industrial maintenance experience.

  • Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.

  • Mechanical experience with hydraulics, gear boxes, and conveyors.

  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and reading schematics.

Work Environment

Shifts available include 2nd shift from 2:00pm-10:30pm and 3rd shift from 10:00pm-6:30am. Example schedules include a rotating pattern of working Monday to Friday with some weekends off. Detailed schedules are provided for clarity. The work environment includes hands-on interaction with machinery, adherence to safety protocols, and a collaborative team setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge City, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
