Senior Vice President – Captive & Insurance Management (Cayman Islands)
The Senior Vice President (“SVP”) is responsible for leading captive service teams overseeing a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance accounts. The SVP will support the team with any client or technical issues that arise. The SVP will be a key relationship lead on captive insurance accounts and will have strong relationships with clients, representatives, and regulatory agencies. The SVP will be a strategic leader on both their client portfolio and general office growth and development.
The Senior Vice President will be work closely with the senior management team overseeing the budgets and revenue, business development, business operations, and risk, governance, and compliance.

What the day will look like
Assume responsibility for driving and delivering client service excellence across the team to all clients
Ensure client management agreements are managed and delivered effectively
Lead, direct, develop and motivate the captive service team toward the achievement of business objectives
Oversee the captive service portfolio and be a key relationship lead for multiple clients
Overall responsibility for the captive accounting function ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of financial statements is executed by the team
Analyse and approve complex financial transactions
Review board meeting materials and effectively present financial and other relevant information to board members
Drive operational excellence within the team and recommend improvements where needed
Develop and implement policies and procedures
Oversee financial audit process and manage any issues which may arise
Responsible for upholding compliance and regulatory obligations ensuring applications and filings are submitted on time
Manage and build strong relationships with clients, client service professionals and regulatory agencies
Lead the captive team in driving projects to completion and providing support
Supervision Responsibilities
- The SVP will participate in the performance management process for direct reports, providing constructive feedback, assisting with objectives/goal setting, and supporting career development initiatives and acting as a mentor and coach to direct reports and team members.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA, or ACA is required
Previous experience working in captive insurance or reinsurance is essential
Ability to lead, motivate and support a team
Delivering business results with excellence
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and accounting applications
Ability and willingness to travel internationally

The salary range for this position is USD $140,000 to USD $155,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
