How you will contribute

You will be responsible for working to execute quality, food safety, and regulatory programs within Mondelez and across their manufacturing, packing, and warehousing partners. Your role is to ensure that Mondelez is consistently producing safe, high-quality products which meets/exceeds customer expectations that meet Mondelez, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance standards. This role will direct seamless execution of source, product, and process to ensure brand protection for all North America Venture Brands

More about this role:

You will be responsible for managing compliance of certifications (which includes but not limited to: new item submission, audits, and completion of CAPAs, ingredient and packaging updates) for all NA Venture Brands, external manufacturing and packing partners (as applicable). Current certifications (but not limited to):

• Organic

• Paleo/Keto

• Non-GMO

• Kosher

• Gluten Free

• Vegan

Your role will be responsible for reviewing material and finished goods COAs, receiving samples for analysis, provide finished product disposition. Additionally, you will be managing internal positive hold & release process (includes reviewing COAs and communicating release of product).

This role will coordinate any additional required testing with 3rd party lab and applicable partners. This role will also be involved in audits and management of internal product information databases related to quality, compliance & regulatory. Lastly this role may assist where needed in maintenance of internal Quality & Food Safety Programs, auditing of Internal procedures and assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions where appropriate

Key activities of this role:

• Manage and verify Quality Management Systems (QSM), procedures for Manufacturing vendors and co‐manufactures

• Support new product development process

• Audit manufacturing control plans for new products and processes

• Coordinate and participate in 2rd & 3nd party audits at external partners and vendors. As well as maintain record and corrective action of findings

• Drive continuous improvement in the areas of Quality Assurance and Food Safety by setting goals and identifying key performance indicators in this area of the business

• Ensures adherence to appropriate regulations and Company standards for quality.

Education / Certifications:

B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related Sciences

Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience (Quality, Supply Chain, Food Safety &/or R&D)

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work

  • Knowledge of Mondelēz International Quality policies/procedures

  • Knowledge of HACCP, CIQ, problem-solving and decision-making techniques

  • Highly proficient computer (MS Office) and Communication skills (Verbal and Written) are required

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Travel requirements:

Approximately 15% travel may be required for key project needs
