JBT Corporation CA Extractor Sales Service Technician in California, United States

We have manufacturing facilities in several locations in the United States and around the world. Responsibilities About the Job This is where you come in! We need people who can install, service, and maintain our equipment to keep it running at top operating efficiency. To be successful in this position, you will need: Machanical Service: With supervision, have sole shift responsibility at a single customer site, maintaining JBT’s leased or sold equipment as directed by Service lead personnel and/or Service management. Complete or assist in completing records and reports and submit them to the service coordinator in a timely manner. Order or report parts shortages and maintain or assist in keeping an orderly stockroom. Assist other service technicians in installing, removing or making major mechanical changes on leased or sold machinery. Deliver L/M parts and/or equipment to customer plants as directed by service management. Manage equipment overhaul so that performance will be to JBT and customer standards and completed within a timely schedule. Customer Relations: Promote and maintain a positive business relationship with external customers to keep open productive relationships for the advancement of JBT’s service support. Work closely with internal customer (JBT departments and personnel) to assure good and productive communication from the customer site to JBT. Have knowledge of customers’ machinery and processes used in fruit processing, particularly that which is included in a service agreement. Maintain professional standards by observing all customer specific regulations and rules including safety and personal conduct items. Qualifications Strong mechanical background with 2 years of field experience and customer interaction. Electrical & Machanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate well and interface with customers. Knowledge to read and understand drawings, blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical assembly’s etc. 5 years minimum experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, welding, and machine tool operation. Knowledge of process control systems. (i.e. utility control and measurement, steam water and air). Food industry experience desired, aseptic systems and other sterilization equipment preferred. P.C. skills in Word, Excel, electronic mail and windows based programs. Technical/Trade School degree desired. Self-starter requiring a minimum amount of supervision and the ability to maintain a professional appearance and conduct both on and off the job. Valid CA drivers license must be maintained at all times.
