Position Overview

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

Execution of assigned tasks and duties with focus on:

POSITION DUTIES & TASKS:

Ensure that all Shipping & Receiving associates are following all D7 Safety procedures.

Check emails and voicemails. Respond promptly and professionally.

Get with night shifts (C and D) shipping/receiving coordinators and address issues that require Lead or Supervisor’s attention.

Check inventories of singles yarn, recycled tubes, trays, and dividers and address any that need attention.

Check the delivery schedule and coordinate with the shipping coordinators.

Review Weekly Powered Industrial Truck Checklist each day - If any items are “Not OK”, investigate.

Inspect truck and determine if damage has occurred - Contact Supervisor if Property Damage report needs to be completed in Cority.

At beginning of week, pick up prior weeks completed forklift checklist, review, file and replace with a new Daily Forklift Maintenance Checklist (title of checklist needs to be changed – doesn’t match form – form is Weekly Powered Industrial Truck Checklist)

Check recycles trailers for cardboard tubes, plastic, ban yarn, loose cardboard, baled waste if trailer is full, it will need to ship.

Create a BOL in MRM and call for a pickup of recyclables.

Pick up BOL at dock that are complete, send to IE Clerk to file.

Incoming BOL’s for reusable packing material should be received in MRM and filed in the S/R office.

Waste yarn will be entered into MRM and loaded on the waste trailer. Vendor defects will be communicated to IE department.

Pick up IPT’s from shipping office - Go to the receiver log and confirm delivery, ensure all information is correct, highlight IPT information in yellow to acknowledge all is correct and file IPT.

Complete a weekly cycle count to check for Inventory discrepancies and correct in YSF.

Follow up on training of new employees - Ensure Shipping & Receiving associates understand training and are following work instructions.

Check supply inventories - Trays, dividers, tubes, labels, ribbon, stretch wrap. When necessary, schedule a new order to restock.

Check the open and completed BOL looking for missing cases, loads not received, IPT’s not received by other plants, correct any issues.

Check and respond to emails in a timely manner - Communicate issues that arise with IPT’s and receivers.

Monitor housekeeping and assign cleaning duties as needed to keep Shipping & Receiving areas clean.

Check work orders on Lift trucks - Call and schedule repairs. Follow up on any open work orders and close once completed.

IPT incorrect case(s) back to vendor.

Greet vendors that come in to repair equipment at pack out.

Call help desk to open INC and follow up on request until complete.

Monitor lots on hold at pack out and follow up until disposition of product has been determined.

Do a monthly case weight audit on in-coming raw material from each vendor.

Fill out the form and turn into the Industrial Engineer for tracking.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Need to have knowledge of the main frame (Glink), YSF, YSCII, scanners, printers, ribbon.

Good communication skills.

Safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, Hot Work, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, and Hoisting & Rigging
