AltaGas - Analyst, Project Controls
In this role, you will be responsible for project schedule support on various projects by creating integrated schedules, monitoring performance against plans, and identifying/communicating areas of concern.
You Will:
Work with the project team to develop, update, and control project plans, schedules, milestones, and reporting in conformance with project requirements, and establish baseline documents to provide ongoing monitoring
Preparing Level 1 to Level 3 schedules in a sustaining capital project environment with particular emphasis on a critical path leading from engineering to procurement to construction
Lead and participate in interactive planning sessions, and hold meetings with project managers, estimators, and engineers to review and adjust preliminary schedules for initial distribution
Create and compile schedules for the midstream capital program adhering to the PDM stage gates
Create and maintain integrated schedules for all labor, materials, equipment, and services starting from project development through to project closure
Lead on project controls support, including project planning, schedule management, evaluating project trends and schedule forecasts
Support project managers in generating weekly and monthly schedule updates
Work with external vendors on getting timely and accurate construction reporting
Establish a productivity basis to be utilized in estimates, as developed in concurrence with Construction.
Coaching and mentoring for other planners and schedulers on the team
You Have:
7+ Years of project and/or program planning & scheduling for projects or corporate budgets
Experience with planning & scheduling for a midstream company and projects
Knowledge of resourcing and/or project management services and processes
Knowledge of EPCM planning and project reporting
Knowledge of procurement, contracts, and construction management
Experience with scheduling software, including Microsoft Projects and Primavera
Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities
Ability to travel to project locations within Canada
