Mission:
Understand, support and ensure application and follow-up of policies and procedures impacting Finance, including closing and reporting areas
Coordinate and support team members during accounting period and especially on month-end, including the review of trial balance, revenue and margin, journal entries and account reconciliations
Supervise all local statutory activities, coordinating Solar team members and external advisors
Ensure timely and quality submission of monthly trial balance and any other required report
Review and provide guidance for complex accounting issues, with the support of management and Technical Accounting teams
Support the business with accurate financial data and analysis
Coordination of internal and external audits, implement action plans, and proactively work to prevent future issues
Perform financial analysis to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances, and accurate financial reporting
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field
Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP and authoritative accounting literature (i.e. FASB pronouncements).
Desired Characteristics:
CPA / CA
Be able to manage and develop an international team of finance professionals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Experience leading in a global business environment
Sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements; able to quickly grasp new ideas
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions
Experience working on cross functional teams including remote share services centers
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
