Microsoft Corporation Senior Applied Scientist in Cairo, Egypt
Join the Azure GenAI team, the innovators behind the Phi3/Phi3.5 models and Azure OpenAI models. We are expanding our presence in Cairo and are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge models. We are seeking Applied Scientists with a strong blend of software development skills, building, and experimentation.
Responsibilities
Develop and experiment with state-of-the-art and large language models (LLMs).
Work on various areas such as alignment, synthetic data generation, and fine-tuning.
Design methods, tools, and infrastructure to advance the state of the art in synthetic data generation and utilization.
Collaborate with a larger and global team.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the field.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering.
Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in generative AI and large language models (LLM).
Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing machine learning models at scale with product driven mindset.
A PhD in AI, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
Major contributor to impactful open-source projects
