Technical Sales Engineer

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for overseeing all sales activities globally for Industrial Filtration Liquid Products. He will be responsible for budget preparation, pricing activity, forecasting, opportunity tracking and selling liquid filtration roll goods globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing all activities relating to the sales of Alkegen Industrial Filtration Liquid products

  • Provide technical support, working directly with customers to understand specific technical requirements and ultimately recommend appropriate products that meet their needs

  • Assures that customers are visited on a regular and/or as needed basis, track all face-to-face visits and prepare call reports after each customer visit

  • Target 40 to 50% travel.

  • Create detailed bid proposals and formal quotations

  • Maintain a keen understanding of the business and competitive environment

  • Maintain effective communication to build relationships with customers

  • Develop Key Account Plans with major customers

  • Provide product samples according to customer needs

  • Develop presentation materials for educating customers on the use of materials and products

  • Assures that Alkegen’s market image is properly represented with the appropriate attendance of Trade Shows, Conferences, Panel Discussions, and etc

  • Assist with the development of product information and application case studies for marketing and sales teams

  • Collaborate in a team approach with employees across multiple functions and departments including Customer Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, Inside Sales, New Product Development, and R&D at the Canadian facility.

  • Assist in preparation for annual sales budget and provide monthly forecasts.

  • Track sales progress versus annual sales walk business plan and track open opportunities using CRM (MS Dynamics).

  • Oversees the development and maintenance of pricing strategies and product Price Lists per Corporate Pricing Policy.

    Qualifications/ Experience:

  • 4-year B.S. degree or greater from an accredited college or university

  • 5+ Years Direct Sales Experience in Industrial Filtration or Technical Textiles (Liquid Filtration Preferred)

  • Self-motivated, competence in personal time and strong project management skills are expected

  • Proven team player and display high level of leadership skills.

  • Experience with CRM (Sales Force or MS Dynamics)

  • Proven technical and critical thinking skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service and sales skills

  • Ability to travel and meet customers as required

    USD salary range from $78,287. - $84,945.
