This is a job for a Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift with a company located in the Byhalia, MS area.
Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for picking and loading freight securely and correctly. In this role you will ensure that work is done in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities: Drive a cherry picker, reach and sit-down forklift equipment with lifting devices to push, pull, stack or move products. Check assigned forklift at beginning of shift to ensure unit is functional. Obtain proper documents from supervisor or lead person indicating priority of work assignments. Review reports/orders/customer instructions to ensure proper handling of product. Monitor assigned areas of the warehouse for damaged product/pallets. Ensure production standards are maintained. Must be able to work in a team environment. Other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED is desirable. Minimum 1 year of experience driving a reach/sit down, cherry picker and/or walkie rider. Warehouse Management System experience desired; HighJump experience highly desired. Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and stand/walk for up to 4 hours at a time and push/pull lift up to 45 pounds.
