Duties:
The Public Education Coordinator - Dual Enrollment oversees the Highlands College dual enrollment program by maintaining and fostering relationships with Montana high schools which are mostly in Southwest Montana. This includes meeting with administration, guidance counselors, teachers, students and parents to grow course offerings and increase course enrollment. Position is responsible for holding public meetings to encourage students to enroll in courses, registration, monitoring student outcomes, addressing school questions/concerns and offering high quality customer service to all. Position requires travel to high schools and a flexible work schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Possess as AS or an AAS degree or higher
Proficient in Word and Excel
Ability to multitask, highly organized, meet deadlines and strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with public speaking
Ability to travel and represent Montana Tech in a professional setting
Ability to work as a team and independently
Ability to receive constructive feedback and learn from it.
Work a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Maintain confidentiality of student records
PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
Ability to spontaneously speak to a group
Understanding of post-secondary in Montana
Ability to engage with high school students through digital media, i.e., online activities such as dual enrollment orientation and online office hours
Ability to work cooperatively and interact positively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds
Foster and build relationships on campus, with high schools and families
Understanding of dual enrollment and career pathways
