Intermountain Health Athletic Trainer High School in Butte, Montana

Job Description:

This job code applies to the Athletic Trainer, in the community youth or high school setting, with primary assignment to support the medical needs of the assigned partner; provide medical coverage, on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events. Such duties may also extend to assist other local high schools, community sporting events, and regional sporting camps/activities. Understanding that this position is exempt and will have variable hours.

Scope

As an Athletic Trainer (College

High School) you need to know how to:

  • Identify the needs and develop programs and services within the budget constraints- Educate the athlete and/or patient and family as part of the treatment plan and rehabilitative process

  • Documentation of all healthcare for injury tracking system- Perform injury evaluation for any injured athlete/patient

  • Make independent decisions to develop and modify specific treatment plans for each individual injury and rehabilitation for each injury.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field. (A Masters degree is preferred)

  • Current licensure by the Montana State Board of Athletic Trainers (LAT)

  • Current BOC certified status

  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$23.25 - $37.12
