Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC Procurement Material Specialist in Burnsville, Minnesota

Job Summary Beacon Hill's client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Material Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical thinking abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain processes. The role involves working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and senior management to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials while supporting the company's goals and objectives. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue purchase requisitions and supplier agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production schedules, plans, and assist in forecasting materials by analyzing inventory to align with company needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and communicate issues and concerns to the manager.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and serve as a liaison between internal project teams and external suppliers.
  • Utilize systems to accurately document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other pertinent data.
  • Communicate delays to appropriate departments and coordinate with department employees to resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Utilize work orders and suggest improvements by outlining, communicating, and verifying processes.
  • Support senior management in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the supply chain industry or 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking with problem-solving aptitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
  • Understanding of company goals and objectives.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn additional company software.
