Posting Summary
Provide high-level administrative assistance to the Chief/Director of Police Services, Deputy Chief, Administrative Professional and Accreditation Manager. Prepare various materials, answer telephone, maintain files, input statistical data, update website and social media, and provide project assistance. Provide first line of contact for those calling the department’s administrative phone line or visiting police department offices. Cultivate relationships, develop rapport to foster mutual trust and understanding and respect individual rights and responsibilities. Reports to the Business Manager.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree, related coursework, two to three years administrative experience and working knowledge of software applications used to support office functions, and familiarity with Internet resources required. Effective organizational, communication and customer service skills required. Driver’s license or the ability to obtain is required. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers required.
