HD Supply Regional Production Planning Manager in Burlington, New Jersey

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of supply chain operations experience.

Job Summary

Provides end-to-end planning, guidance, and communication to supply chain leadership on distribution center operations. Ensures the successful planning, coordination, and execution of short- and long-term production and labor plans, including monitoring key performance indicators, managing production and staffing plans, and maintaining building flow.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Manages the implementation of regional strategic initiatives to improve associate experience, work scheduling optimization, and productivity growth.

  • Develops departmental labor plans and compositions to ensure customer service expectations and controllable labor budgets are met.

  • Establishes production plans through maintenance, configuration, and inputs in applicable supply chain systems.

  • Evaluates operational performance to identify opportunities to adjust distribution plans to drive effectiveness gains.

  • Educates and trains distribution center leadership on processes, tools, and resources and provides coaching in deficient areas.

  • Forecasts short-term productivity targets in alignment with current staffing trends, planned strategic initiatives, and process changes to ensure costs remain aligned with profit and loss targets.

  • Works with human resources, talent acquisition, and leadership teams to identify opportunities with distribution center staffing and training needs.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

$116,200.00-$178,700.00 Annual
