Meta Device Technical Program Manager in Burlingame, California
Summary:
As a Device Technical Program Manager at Facebook Reality Labs, you will lead a cross-functional core team through the Product Development Process (from early concept phase to launch) to develop and launch industry-leading AR/VR Products. This is a highly visible role, requiring an experienced leader with extensive technical skills and business acumen; skilled at communicating with all levels of the company. We look for technical program managers who care about the products they work on, who are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment.

Device Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:
Lead a cross-functional core team spanning hardware, software, core technology, content, operations, marketing, legal, and finance.
Own the program schedule from pre-concept through launch, managing the delivery of key program milestones.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the program.
Proactively identify and drive resolution of critical program risks/issues.
Manage cross-functional dependencies.
Establish best practices along with key performance indicators to ensure success.
Distill complex topics into clear communications to program stakeholders.
Ensure resource needs are established and fulfilled.
Up to 20% travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
10+ years experience as a technical program manager, leading consumer electronics device development across both hardware and software, with a track record of shipping devices on time.
Experience in process definition/improvements, program management, tools.
Experience in team leadership, decision making, and presenting to groups.
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.
Public Compensation:
$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
