Jacobs has developed one of the leading and longest-standing geotechnical and tunneling consultancy capabilities, with approximately 400 geotechnical and tunneling engineers delivering practical and innovative solutions to ground-related problems. As a key member of our dynamic tunnels team, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and drive innovation across a diverse range of projects. From pipe jacking to large-diameter tunnels, TBM tunneling to Drill and Blast methods, you'll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of engineering excellence. We're seeking a Tunneling Engineer who thrives on challenges and possesses a proven track record in the design of work packages across multiple sectors. Whether it's Metro, Highway, Heavy Rail, Utility, or Conveyance, your experience will be the driving force behind our success. If you have expertise in hard rock tunneling, even better – you'll be a game-changer in our team! Working alongside our Senior Tunneling Engineer and Tunnel Regional Lead, you'll have the autonomy to take ownership of projects and work packages, collaborating with both internal and external clients. Your ability to work independently and deliver exceptional results will be highly valued and recognized.

Here’s what you’ll need :

To excel in this role, you'll need experience in tunnel design, where you've honed your skills in preparing designs and drawings that capture the essence of innovation. Your ability to craft technical reports that communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision will be a key asset in our team. As a tunneling professional you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your experience in designing work packages across a wide range of sectors. Whether you've made your mark in Metro, Highway, Heavy Rail, Utility, or Conveyance, your expertise will be the driving force behind our success. If you have a particular forte in segmental and SCL lining design, you'll be a superstar in our team! Beyond technical prowess, we're looking for you to utilise your strong communication skills to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with team members and clients alike. Your interpersonal skills will be the key to unlocking successful partnerships and driving projects forward. You'll have a sound academic foundation in civil/tunnel engineering and a deep understanding of relevant European codes and standards. Your fluency in verbal and written English will enable you to communicate your ideas with confidence and clarity. In today's digital age, computer literacy is a must-have. You'll be a master of discipline software such as Plaxis, FLAC, MIDAS, and SAP, leveraging these tools to create innovative solutions and optimize designs.
