Cabin Coffee Shop Manager Job Description

5+ years in management related to food service / customer service
Knowledge of and experience with relevant technology
Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
Position Summary:
This position reports to the Executive Director of Athletics. The person in this position will oversee the ongoing development and operation of our on-campus coffee shop, The Cabin, including the hiring, oversight, and management of other Cabin employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess and model a growing relationship with Christ and accept and uphold The Brook Hill School's Statement of Faith.
Seamlessly and deliberately integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into day-to-day duties.
Take an active role in ensuring the school's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing pertinent information and commentary to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
Develop and maintain a culture committed to outstanding customer service.
Work in conjunction with the school's Business Lab and School of Entrepreneurship personnel.
Prepare and sell coffee products by closely following the prescribed preparation techniques and recipes for various coffee drinks.
Maintain a workplace environment in compliance with health and safety standards as established by NET HEALTH (Northeast Texas Public Health District).
Hire, train, and manage all coffee shop staff; manage schedules and approve working hours for payroll
Inventory and purchase necessary supplies that fit with the budget and goals of the coffee shop.
Assist with developing and improving the product line.
Communicate any changes to operating schedule or offerings; leaning on the marketing team as needed.
Monitor and keep the books, working with the Director of the Business Office (posting daily sales, balancing cash drawer, credit card receipts, etc.).
Take on the tasks of coffee shop barista either alongside staff or when working alone:
Cleaning, serving, restocking, listening and assisting, receiving and processing payments, etc.
Improve leadership skills through self-initiated professional development activities.
Occasional evening or weekend work required as it relates to the duties described
Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor, the Head of School, or another designee of the Head of School
