Enterprise Charter School (ECS) Overview:

Enterprise is a public charter school in Buffalo, New York educating children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 2003, ECS is committed to "Engaging young minds through projects and partnerships."

Enterprise Charter School is seeking talented and creative Music and Theatre Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year. The ideal candidates will have a passion for music and or theatre, and the ability to foster a love for the arts in students of all ages. As part of our dynamic arts department, the Music/Theatre Teachers will lead engaging classes, produce performances, and support the artistic growth of students. The ideal candidate should have aBachelor's degree in Music, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or related field.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A demonstrated interest in impacting K-8 students in urban schools and communities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music and theatre lessons to students of various age groups and skill levels.

  • Teach students music theory, vocal techniques, instrumental music, and/or theatrical performance skills.

  • Prepare students for concerts, recitals, and theatre productions, providing direction, choreography, and musical guidance as needed.

  • Organize and coordinate extracurricular music ensembles, theatre productions, and performances.

  • Develop students' creativity, critical thinking, and confidence through the arts.

  • Foster a collaborative environment where students can explore their talents and gain experience in both individual and group performances.

  • Assess students' progress, provide feedback, and report on achievements.

  • Integrate technology in music and theatre education when applicable (e.g., music software, virtual performances).

  • Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning and artistic expression.

  • Work collaboratively with other faculty members, parents, and the community to support students' artistic development.

Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System. Position starts at $45,000 higher rate of pay based on certification and experience.
