Independent Health .NET Developer - Lead in Buffalo, New York

Overview

The .NET Developer-Lead is a Team Lead. They are responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that impact web and mobile applications and provide guidance to team members. The .NET Developer-Lead will both originate and follow provided architect guidelines, team standards and industry standards to develop, test and support solutions. The .NET Developer-Lead will be accountable for solutioning high-complexity requirements on their own and socializing the solution to gain approval before implementing. The ability to effectively blaze a path to success is expected. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management, is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Six (6) years of experience designing and developing Web Applications.

  • Mobile App development required.

  • Expertise with C#, .NET, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, XML, AngularJS, Cordova, Git and jQuery is required.

  • IIS Server configuration experience required.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with SQL. Proficient with relational databases such as MS SQL Server and Oracle. Exposure and usage of NoSQL desirable.

  • Usage of Content Management System(s) required and knowledge of NoCMS environments preferred.

  • Detailed experience with Agile or Scrum methodology.

  • Ability to navigate and work on multiple operating systems such as Windows and Unix.

  • Experience with automated unit and/or functional testing methods preferred.

  • Ability to lead teams, work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required. Leads by example and serves as a mentor for other team members.

  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Prior experience in the health care industry preferred.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Collaboration

  • Act as a leader within the team on project-specific responsibilities, guiding junior team members as needed to ensure project goals are met.

  • Use judgment to help balance competing priorities for functionality within projects and releases.

  • Facilitate a collaborative approach to problem solving and formulate decisions, objectives and priorities consistent with long-term interest of the organization and stakeholders.

  • Engineering

  • Follow the IT systems development lifecycle to achieve project objectives within budget and timeframe requirements.

  • Define, follow and enforce rigorous quality standards, checkpoints, and communications processes for the team to ensure project quality.

  • System and Software Development

  • Demonstrate good analytical abilities and technical skills.

  • Ability to reasonably accurately estimate work effort (hours) for work to different degrees of certainty based on information known.

  • Prepare appropriate level of system documentation.

  • Manage (designs, executes and documents results for) unit and functional testing of system functionality created by themselves.

  • Facilitate and enforce that systems and work completed have proper levels of documentation as to what was delivered. Ensure that delivered systems provide appropriate usability/understandability levels commensurate as needed by users.

  • Automate processes and solve reporting and analysis problems for business units and external stakeholders.

  • Design database models for small projects and enhancements to deliver solutions.

  • Co-Define, follow and enforce standards and maintain processes to balance consistency with flexibility to support the business needs.

  • Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate and resolve issues through careful testing.

  • Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate (teach) and resolve problems.

  • Ensure stability, integrity, availability, productivity and efficient operation of applications.

  • End User Support

  • Translate customer requirements into actionable designs.

  • Translate customer issues into actionable dev work.

  • Gain customer satisfaction.

Hiring Compensation Range: $115,000 - $135,000 annually

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
