If you are looking for the opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic warehouse environment & have the required skills/experience, apply today & call 716-630-7008!Job Description: The Material Handling Lead is responsible for overseeing & preparing the finished product for shipment & loading trucks. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years in a warehouse manager/lead role with 5 years minimum forklift experience.Responsibilities include:Leading day to day activities for the Material Handling functions.Providing supportive direction to the material handlers & help to prioritize work.Ensure timely completion of work & troubleshoot delays.Conduct training on work instructions.Inspect work within the department for quality.Ensure pallet counts are accurate & reporting any discrepancies.Pick items from shelves & provide production staff with raw materials.Build or wrap boxes as needed.Use a forklift to load trucks for unloading & unloading trucksCommunicate any purchase order discrepanciesEnsuring inventory is stocked in designated areas for use.Accurately transfer materials to racking, floor location, or machine location.Assist with inventory as neededRequirements:Must have a minimum of 5 years total experience with a minimum of 3 years as a Warehouse lead or Warehouse manager for consideration.Ability to lead others by example & in instruction.Operate within the Standard Operating Procedures.Basic computer proficiency.Ensure a clean, orderly, & safe work environment.Must be forklift/powered industrial truck certified.Strong organizational skills & ability to multi-task with multiple priorities.Ability to perform role with high degree of accuracy & attention to detail
