The Manager, Attended Donation Center (ADC) is responsible for hiring, scheduling, training and managing ADC team members at all ADC sites as well as covering any attended donation center sites when needed. The position’s main duties include:
Partners with the VP of Operations and HR to hire, train, schedule and staff ADCs to ensure they are fully staffed and open all scheduled hours.
Trains, manages the duties, and coaches the performance of ADC team members.
Ensures a work environment for a prompt, friendly and courteous donor experience that delights our donors in a way that ensures Goodwill of WNY is their donation organization of choice.
Performs inspections and site visits to ADCs on a regular basis covering shifts, loss prevention review, training, schedule review, image including proper attendant attire, supplies and equipment, proper sorting procedures and that sites are providing a “wow” donor experience.
Opens and closes an ADC as required including reporting a donor attendant’s absence, assign duties as applicable, and complete control of operation functions as assigned. This includes acting as a floating donation attendant as a last resort to keep sites open, cover vacations, etc.
Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds; unloads donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts and maintain accurate daily counts of donations.
Breaks down donations into required categories.
Communicates with leadership on opportunities found at each ADC and supports ADC peers on specific duties as needed or requested.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS (The stuff you must have)
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have reliable transportation and a clean NYS Driver’s License.
Must be at least 18 years of age to work at an ADC site.
Must have availability seven days a week to cover any ADC openings across all sites to prevent closing.
NON-REQUIREMENTS (this means Bonus Points if you have them)
Two (2) years of prior retail or warehouse experience preferred.
Prior experience managing a team preferred.
